Review: SAP S/4 HANA Financial Accounting Certification Guide

When it comes time for SAP S/4HANA Finance certification, there aren’t many books available to help test takers with their studies. We found one that is the end-all for the C_TS4FI_1511 and C_TS4FI_1610 exams.

SAP Press’ latest certification guide, SAP S/4 HANA Financial Accounting Certification Guide: Application Associate Exam, explores test methodology for the two exams, from looking at each topic area covered on the tests, to covering key concepts you’ll want to know in order to pass, to providing sample questions and answers so you can quiz yourself ahead of time.

And the best part? The book was written by the certification exam owner, Stefanos Pougkas. No further test resource needed.

What will you learn?

A lot. Get up-to-date overviews for 11 key concepts certain to play a big role in the future of SAP (SAP S/4 Hana and SAP Fiori Launchpad are among the list).

Thorough looks at the major components of the exam—General Ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable, asset accounting, financial close, and how they all intertwine. And all the functional and technical knowledge you’ll need to show off your expertise as you answer questions on the exam.

What kinds of questions, you might ask? How about this:

Why might you define options to have manually allocated item keys for the financial statement version (FSV)?

  1. To be able to assign the same key to two multiple objects
  2. To be able to enter an explanatory text for the item key
  3. To be able to define if you want to summarize at the item level
  4. To be able to assign functional areas to the items

The book covers it—and over 140 others. Stefanos’ intimate knowledge of the exam shows in the book’s 447 pages—he wants you to succeed and what better way then by teaching you the most important aspects of S/4Hana Finance?

By the way, the answer to the question above? Let’s dive into the book to see what Stefanos says:

“Correct answer: B. Manually defining the item keys allows you to enter your own explanatory texts for these.”

Who is this book for?

If you’re looking for information on topics like asset accounting processes, G/L indicators, document parking, validations and substitutions, plus all the main topics mentioned above—you’ll want to read this certification guide.

If you’re a FI consultant and want the proof of expertise that potential clients require, you’ll want to read it. New hires, current employees just becoming introduced to SAP S/4HANA Finance, and graduates looking for certification will also find help in these pages.

Business users, developers, and those hopping back into the world of SAP FI after some time away will also enjoy the contents presented—whether they go for certification or not.

You can find the book on the SAP PRESS website and read a sample chapter by clicking on the “Browse the Book” button beneath the book’s cover.
