E-3 Magazine talked to Youtiligent about what its solution has to offer, how it relates to existing SAP systems and what’s next for the company.
What exactly does Youtiligent offer?
Youtiligent enables vendors and service providers in the food and beverage industry to make data-driven business decisions when it comes to maintenance, logistics and sales. The business insights and recommendations are based on real-time onsite visibility. By using Youtiligent, clients can generate new sales opportunities, increase efficiency in re-stock and supply efforts, provide excellent service to their customers, lower costs of maintenance and delivery, and create new sales opportunities.
How does your solution work?
The Youtiligent solution is divided into two aspects: a plug as well as the AI and ML algorithm, developed in order to analyze the data and provide the correct and most efficient insights. The Youtiligent plug-and-play device connects any electrical appliance to the cloud. Once the machine is plugged, Youtiligent translates the electrical signal into data, and its data into business insights. The benefits of Youtiligent are that the solution is non-intrusive, cost effective, easily connectable, manufacture agnostic, and is capable of cellular communication.
What are the customer-side requirements?
There are no customer-side requirements! It’s one of Youtiligent’s greatest benefits. Youtiligent’s solution can work with any machine, no matter its age or manufacturer, and no need for technicians or retrofitting existing appliances. It’s literally a plug-and-play device that connects any of the customer’s electrical equipment to the cloud in 3 seconds.
Why did you start Youtiligent to begin with?
Bridging between the virtual and the physical world is a topic that is fascinating to us. It started with the mobile phone revolution, and it is progressing to new industrial and transportation sectors. We understood that everybody was talking about IoT for 20 years, but nothing happened at scale for so many years because of implementation difficulties and cost-effective limitations. Our solution’s beauty is in the simplicity of the implementation; we create a bridge in the commercial world, a place with so much lack of real onsite information.
How could your solution potentially help customers navigate the COVID-19 pandemic and the different challenges of reopening?
COVID-19 has proved that many food and beverage vendors and service providers must find new ways of working remotely and managing their supply chain with new flexibility. It’s now more important than ever to be able to operate flexibly and make smart decisions while there are volatile and unpredictable changes in supply and demand. Operational efficiency and cost reductions are key, and Youtiligent provides exactly that. Youtiligent provides actionable insights from machines’ and appliances’ real-time usage. With Youtiligent, customers can remotely monitor the equipment usage and status, track inventory levels and deliver the right amount of supply when it’s needed and predict equipment failure to prevent downtimes and emergent repair trips.
How are you connected to SAP?
Youtiligent is now part of the SAP App Center. The App Center is a marketplace for all SAP customers worldwide, facilitating them with third-party tools to expand their offerings. The goal is to provide customers that already use SAP tools with a seamless solution, so all our unique data and insights can be integrated and provided via the SAP tools they are already using.
What’s next for Youtiligent?
Currently, Youtiligent is focused on the food and beverage industry. We are gaining increasing traction in this area and are deepening our relationship with vendors and service providers. Youtiligent is connected with worldwide brands such as GazProm and Hemro, and we participate in international competitions and have been recognized and awarded. In the future, we hope to expand our services and technologies to additional industries such as hospitality. Exciting things are on their way!
