Hadoop Integration into SAP with Datavard

Software and consulting company Datavard secures cooperation agreement with Cloudera, provider of the leading platform for data management and analytics. Nearline-Storage solution Datavard OutBoard is Cloudera 5 certified. Through this cooperation Datavard will simplify SAP and Hadoop integration while providing Big Data architecture.

“Hadoop offers great potential in combination with Hana. These two solutions form an ideal data and usage platform for digital transformation, which is also being substantiated by customer inquiry and a massive increase in project volume”, says Gregor Stoeckler, CEO Datavard.

“Cloudera is the leading provider and supporter of Apache Hadoop and our partnership with them is a significant win,“ he continues. “This cooperation provides our customers with easy and cost-effective Hadoop and SAP integration by bridging the gap between the two.”

Data management suite Datavard OutBoard is certified for Cloudera 5. Hadoop is seamlessly integrated into the SAP landscape and is fully supported by this Abap based solution – requiring no specific expertise.

Datavard OutBoard filters and stores data by business relevance in Hadoop with up to 95% compression. Data remains available for reporting and analysis at all times. Overall system size and data growth is sustainably reduced.

“Big Data is the catalyst of digital transformation. Most of our customers simply fail to utilize a unified infrastructure, relying rather on multiple platforms including in-memory-platform Hana,” Alexander Picker, Director Channels & Alliances at Cloudera adds. “Integration of these two worlds becomes simple due to our collaboration with Datavard.”
