cbs Acquires Trebing + Himstedt

The successful company (founded in 1992, 60 employees), based in Schwerin, Berlin and Stuttgart, is regarded as a specialist for the digital transformation to smart factories and smart products. To power its solutions, Trebing + Himstedt uses SAP’s innovation portfolio such as the Business Technology Platform (BTP) and the Process Mining Execution Management System (EMS) from Celonis.

With this acquisition, cbs is sustainably expanding its capabilities in the production environment. The core discipline of logistics production planning and control is joined by process and technology consulting for automated production and machine control; this includes the integration of production control systems (Manufacturing Execution Systems, MES) as well as Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The Heidelberg-based company aims to create a comprehensive digitalization offering for the area of manufacturing and product development and to support its customers with end-to-end networked, agile and modular solutions and services.
