Datagroup To Acquire Banking Service Provider dna

Datagroup has recently signed a sales agreement to acquire 100 percent of the shares in dna.

dna’s expertise lies in the area of IT administration, such as network management, managed client services, application operation and user administration as well as in industry-specific technical assistance. This offering is rounded off by consulting services for integration processes to implement new systems and applications and by support services for software development processes of customers and serviced institutes.

dna has grown significantly over the last few years. As a preferred partner of a central IT service provider from the savings bank association, dna provides cross-country support for savings banks throughout Germany. “Digitization is forging ahead among banks and financial service providers”, says Oliver Schuppart, Managing Director and previous majority shareholder of dna. “An efficient IT is the path to improve the profitability in the banking world, and we look forward to be a more efficient partner for our customers in association with Datagroup.”

In the current fiscal year, dna will generate revenue in the high single-digit million euros. The transaction comprises 100 percent of the shares. The parties have agreed to keep the purchase price confidential.
