Embedded In SAP And Therefore Great

A system for processing inbound documents embedded in SAP offers high levels of efficiency – for IT and specialist departments.

For IT, it offers all the benefits of a SAP landscape, including delivery via the SAP Transport Group, SAP release security and a fast implementation, which simply involves bringing in a transport and straightforward customizing.

What is more, the system does not need an upstream workstation so there is no need to invest in the usual combination of a test, configuration and production system.

Companies achieve even greater synergy effects if they combine automation in the purchase-to-pay process with a solution for electronically processing of performance recording. Billing for services normally requires a lot of time and effort because employees have to check the services and the time taken.

This process will be digitalized and integrated by a solution for automating time recording, which tangro is currently developing and will make available in the cloud or for the internal allocation of orders on-site. The actual working hours of the external service provider transfer automatically to the invoice processing, so there is no need for a lengthy final check.

Automatically recording time

The system transfers the business partner’s service entry sheet directly into the SAP system, assigns the work to the purchase order and automatically records the time. Thanks to the service sheet number, the invoice is connected to the purchase order and can be automatically registered if required. Workflows can be used in all cases where approval is still required, issues need clarifying or an employee needs to be informed. These workflows then electronically process and speed up the procedures.

No interfaces

There is also no need for interfaces and the costly maintenance that comes with them. Users can directly access the master and transaction data in the SAP system without continually having to reload data and the inherent risk of data redundancy.

“Of all the systems available on the market, tangro offers the most seamless and efficient integration in SAP,” says Willi-Gerd Schmitz, IT manager of the Hager Group. “This was decisive for us, because it allows us to map our entire business process in SAP. It also makes it much easier for us to maintain the solution.”

By using the Abap programming language, companies can make any necessary IT adjustments themselves.

A GUI just like SAP’s

The benefits of a SAP-embedded solution for the specialist department are obvious. The interface is the same as the SAP GUI, so users are instantly familiar with it. Of course, if users want to, they can also use HTML 5 or Fiori, which is better for workflow users.

Furthermore, there is no need for complex training courses. In the familiar SAP environment, the users are able to execute all document processing tasks, such as OCR post-processing, invoice and order verification as well as posting FI documents, orders or receipts, for example. If necessary, they can call up the SAP document at any time.
