Neptune delivers a platform to create and manage enterprise applications for SAP customers. It now entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with SAP. Through this MOU, SAP may refer SAP ECC customers running their apps on non-Hana systems and those that wish to enhance the user experience (UX) of their apps with the use of Neptune.
Therefore, this relationship addresses the needs of SAP customers. It does that by delivering a solution to strategic challenges by building Fiori UX apps using Neptune’s technology stack.
Creating Fiori applications using SAP UI5
“In our ongoing effort to bring value to SAP’s customers and partners, SAP and Neptune will collaborate to address the Fiori UX needs for SAP ECC ‘Any Database’ customers,” said Sam Yen, SAP’s Chief Design Officer and Managing Director for SAP Silicon Valley. “Neptune’s complementary development platform enables traditional SAP (Abap) developers to create Fiori applications using SAP UI5. Within this collaboration, we will share insights on technology and also design guidelines. Consequently, Neptune can ensure compliance and upgradability of Fiori apps built using Neptune Software stack.”
This relationship aims to also help ECC/Any Database customers unlock greater business value from their investments in SAP software. It also makes it possible to shorten time-to-value in building Fiori applications. Neptune helps these customers increase operational efficiency, customer engagement, and end-user satisfaction.
“We are excited to announce this collaboration between SAP and Neptune. Our development platform builds on SAP programming language Abap and SAP UI5. It is a natural fit for customers that want to make the most of their SAP investment,” said Njal Stabell, CIO and Co-Founder of Neptune Software. “Our customers are building and scaling their apps with our platform. As a result, they unlock the benefits of Fiori design and SAP UI5.”
The Neptune Fiori UX Platform has achieved SAP-Certified Integration with NetWeaver, Hana and S/4Hana, and is a rapid application development platform that covers the whole application software development lifecycle (SDLC).
